If you answered yes to any of those questions, then come check out our Backpacking 101 clinic! Backpacking is an adventure that we think everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. But we also realize it can be daunting to plan and prepare for if you’re new to the scene and a frightening adventure to tackle if you’ve never done it before. That’s what we’re here for at Alpine Shop and The Pathfinder.
Backpacking 101: This is an introductory backpacking class designed to teach you the basics of backpacking in a classroom setting. Class topics includes:
- Pack basics and how to fit your pack.
- Essentials and accessories
- How to pack a pack.
- Tips and tricks from an experienced backpacker
- Trail suggestions for backpackers of all levels
Location: This class is held in select stores
Dates: To see when the class is offered, search either by the “Schedule” box below or by scrolling through the calendar for available dates and time
Cost: $5
Registration: All registration is handled on-line. Once you find the date you would like to attend, click on the date to access the registration system. First, select which location you would like to attend, then select, the class. If you would like to register more than one person for the class after you are finished completing your own information, click “Add Participant” and enter the information for as many participants as you are registering.
Please note: All programs have a minimum and maximum number of participants. If a minimum number is not met, you may be contacted to possibly reschedule your class. If a maximum is met, a waitlist may start for those still interested in attending.
