COVID-19 Virus Postponements & Cancellations

In light of increasing developments resulting from COVID-19 (coronavirus) along with reviewing the most current health information from St. Louis City and County health departments, along with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization here is the current status of Alpine Shop’s and Pathfinder’s clinics and events:

The following events have been POSTPONED:

  • The 2020 Shaw Bloom Trail 10k/20k, (Saturday, March 21); will now be held September 26, 2020
  • The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour, (March 25 and 26). Reschedule dates to be announced.
  • Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge (Saturday–Sunday, May 2-3)
  • You Can Paddle! Day (May 9)

The following events have been CANCELLED:

  • All scheduled in-store programs between March 14 and May 10.
  • Spring Swap (scheduled April 24-26)
  • Ozark Trail Association Pint Night (April 28)

Event Specific Notes:

The Shaw Bloom Trail 10k/20k will be rescheduled for Saturday, September, 26, 2020 at The Shaw Nature Reserve. All current registrations will be automatically moved to that date. You do not need to re-register for the event. Due to the extraordinary nature of this situation, we will also offer full refunds to anyone who no longer wishes to participate beginning next week. Information on how to receive a refund has been sent to all registrants.

The Banff Centre announced on Thursday, March 12 that they are suspending the remaining schedule of the 2019-20 Mountain Film Festival World Tour as of today, March 13. We are working with The Banff Centre and The Sheldon to determine possible dates for a rescheduled show/shows in St. Louis in September. We are also working with The Sheldon and MetroTix to determine a refund policy for cancelled shows. We will provide more information on this as soon as we have it.

In this extraordinary time when everyone seems to be more and more ready to hide out at home, may we offer a corona virus-free alternative? How about all of the trails, rivers, lakes and crags that are still right where they’ve been all along? As far as we’re aware, you can follow all city, state and federal guidelines for dealing with this outbreak while in the backcountry (and staying more than six feet from any friends you bring along.)

Unplugging from all of this craziness surrounding us right now sounds like it just may be the best idea, yet.

Welcome to the New Home for Alpine Shop and Pathfinder Events & Programs

We hope you’ll bear with us as we get this site up and running at full steam, but as we head into the first day of 2020, we’d like to introduce you to the new home for all of our events and programs at Alpine Shop and The Pathfinder.

Our resolution for this year is to bring more programs, clinics, and special events to all of our customers. We hope you’ll take a look at all the offerings we already have in place and keep checking back as we get the entire calendar filled in over the next few weeks.

This new site has a number of different ways for you to find the information you’re looking for, including searching by activity, by the location you’re closest to, or even just by the date. The top menu includes all of these options.

As you look through the individual programs, you’ll find all the pertinent information for the program on top and two different options to search for the right class for you below: a listing of the specific class dates you can pick from, or a calendar you can search through to find what works best for you.

If you know of a program you’d like to see at a location near you, please let us know by dropping us an email to adventure (at) alpineshop.com.

We hope you like the new site!
